Terms of Use

These terms apply to cleanersinsydney.com.au, operated by the administrators of the Cleaners in Sydney Facebook group, based in Sydney, NSW (“Cleaners in Sydney”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them.

1. What we do

Cleaners in Sydney is an online platform that introduces customers to independent cleaners. We are not a cleaning company. We do not employ the cleaners listed, we are not a party to any agreement between a customer and a cleaner, and we do not take or hold payment for cleaning work.

2. Customers

  • Posting a job is free. By posting, you agree we can share your contact details and job details with matching cleaners.
  • You are responsible for agreeing the price, inclusions and timing with the cleaner, and for paying them directly.
  • Badges reflect only the checks described on our How We Check Cleaners page. Please make your own enquiries before engaging a cleaner.

3. Cleaners

  • You must hold a valid, active ABN and provide accurate information. You are responsible for your own tax, insurance and legal obligations.
  • Your offers and prices must be genuine. You must respond to customers professionally and only use their details to quote for the job they posted.
  • Joining is free during our launch period. We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before introducing any fees, and you can close your account at any time.
  • We may decline or remove profiles, offers or ads that are misleading, inappropriate or break these terms.

4. Hiring ads

Advertisers must comply with Australian employment law, including minimum award rates for employees. We may remove any ad without notice. Never pay anyone to obtain a job.

5. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from work arranged between customers and cleaners. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Reviews and reports

Reviews must be honest and about a real clean. We may remove reviews, profiles or ads that look fake, misleading or abusive. Anyone can report a problem on our report page.
